Frequently Asked Questions
Newborn
When should I schedule my session?
It is never too early to schedule your newborn session. Clients often schedule their sessions with me as early as 6 months prior to their due date. The earlier the better, so you can secure a date for your newborn session.
What if my due date changes?
Don't worry! Once you have your session booked, I will mark your due date on my calendar as a general idea of when your baby will arrive. Please keep in touch with me as your due date approaches and keep me updated with any changes during your pregnancy so I can adjust our date as needed. Please call, text, or email me when your baby is born, and once you get home from the hospital, so we can finalize your session date, as it may have changed.
How long do newborn sessions last?
Newborn sessions are never rushed and usually last between 2-3 hours. This allows for plenty of time for extra feedings, burping, and soothing. Babies are all different. Some may sleep the entire session, while others may take a bit more soothing throughout the session. Your session will be the only one I book for the day, as I like to keep everything relaxed and enjoyable for the new mom and her family.
What do you bring to a session/Do I need to provide anything?
Nope! I bring the entire newborn studio to your home! I bring all the props for your baby – including lighting, heating, outfits, hats, headbands, bow ties, wraps, blankets, buckets, and the background. If you have a specific outfit and/or keepsake that you want to include in the session, I will absolutely do my best to include it as well.
My Baby has already arrived, can I still schedule my session ?
Yes, of course! I will try my best to fit you in!
